2003 - Chamber Concert in the Bergteil Museum, Durban South Africa in which several works by David Pyke and the South African composer Christopher Brouckaert were premiered in a fundraiser for Lifeline.
Works were performed by members of the KwaZulu-Natal Philharmonic Orchestra with soloists Anneliese Salisbury and Christopher Brouckaert.
2004 - Chaconne Music in association with Ms Judy Power founded the Mackay Philharmonic Orchestra.
2004 - The world premier of Symphony No. 1 in d minor by David Pyke, performed by the Mackay Philharmonic Orchestra in the Mackay Entertainment Centre.
